Abstract

¿¬±¸¸ñÀû: ÀÌ ³í¹®Àº ÇöÀç ½ÃÇàµÇ°í ÀÖ´Â Ä¡°úÀÇ»ç ´ë»ó °è¼Ó ±³À°ÇÁ·Î±×·¥µéÀ» ºÐ¼®ÇÏ°í ÇâÈÄ °³¼±¿¡ µµ¿òÀ» ÁÖ°íÀÚ ÇÑ´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ ´ëÇÐ ±³À°ÀÇ ¼öÁØ°ú ¹üÁÖ °³¼±À» À§ÇÑ ±âº»ÀÚ·á·Î¼­ ±Þº¯ÇÏ´Â »çȸ¿¡¼­ ÀÏ¹Ý Ä¡°úÀÇ»çÀÇ ¿ª·®À» Çâ»ó½ÃÅ°´Âµ¥ µµ¿òÀ» ÁÖ°íÀÚ ÇÑ´Ù.

¿¬±¸°á°ú: 2007³â 9¿ù 1ÀÏ¢¦2009³â 8¿ù 31ÀϱîÁöÀÇ Ä¡Àǽź¸¿Í 2008³â 3¿ù 1ÀÏ¢¦2009³â 8¿ù 31ÀϱîÁöÀÇ ¼¼¹Ì³ª¸®ºä¿¡ ÃÑ 1,732°³ÀÇ ¿¬¼öÇÁ·Î±×·¥ÀÌ ¼Ò°³µÇ¾ú´Ù. ÀÓÇöõÆ® ÇÁ·Î±×·¥ÀÌ 38.0%·Î °¡Àå ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. Ä¡¾Æ±³Á¤ ÇÁ·Î±×·¥Àº 13.7%·Î µÎ ¹ø°·Î ¸¹ÀÌ ÁøÇàµÇ°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù. ½Ç½ÀÀÌ ¾ø´Â °æ¿ì°¡ 58.3%·Î ¾à°£ ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. ÀÓÇöõÆ®´Â 53.3%¿¡¼­ ½Ç½ÀÀÌ ÁøÇàµÇ°í ÀÖ¾úÀ¸³ª, Ä¡¾Æ ±³Á¤Àº 28.6%ÀÇ ÇÁ·Î±×·¥¿¡¼­¸¸ ½Ç½ÀÀÌ ÁøÇàµÇ°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù. ´ëºÎºÐÀÇ ±³À° ÇÁ·Î±×·¥Àº 1°³¿ù À̳»¿¡ ³¡³ª´Â ´Ü±â ±³À° ÇÁ·Î±×·¥À̾ú´Ù(75.8%).

°á·Ð: ÀÌ ³í¹®Àº ±³À° ½ÃÀåÀÇ »ó¾÷È­¸¦ ¹æÁöÇÏ°í, ´ëÇÐ ±³À° ¹× °è¼Ó ±³À° ÇÁ·Î±×·¥ÀÇ °³¼±À» À§ÇÑ ±âÃÊÀÚ·á·Î¼­ ÀÇÀÇ°¡ ÀÖ´Ù.

Purpose: This paper aims to analyze the currently implemented continuing professional education(CPE) programs in Korea and to expedite further improvements on CPE programs in the future. As a baseline study, it also promotes the competencies of dentists in the rapidly changing society and to improve levels and purview of dental education in universities.

Research Methods: The CPE advertisements from Korean dental newspapers between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2009, as well as those from Seminar Review, a Korean dental newspaper, between 1 March 2008 and 31 August 2009, were obtained from the Seoul National University dental library to be analyzed.

Research Results: A total of 1,732 CPE programs were advertized on the Korean dental newspaper (between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2009) and on Seminar Review (between 1 March 2008 and 31 August 2009). Programs about dental implants were the most common programs (38%) and the orthodontic programs came second (13.7%). More than half of the programs (58.3%) didn"t include hands-on clinical practices. 53.3% of the implant programs used hands-on sessions while only 28.6% of orthodontic treatment programs provided such opportunities.

Conclusion: This paper gains its significance as a basic reference or data that advocates the prevention of commercialization of dental education market and promotes the improvement of both university education and CPE programs.
